Email Setup
Get Started with Email Setup
Follow the steps in this guide to set up email support in Tugi. We'll walk you through configuring your email addresses and domains to ensure smooth handling of support requests across all your markets.
Send us the following information:
- End User Support Email: This is the email address that users can contact when they need assistance or have any support-related questions.
- Support Reply Email: This is the email address from which users will receive responses to their support requests.
The settings changes takes less than 24 hours to have an effect.
Note: Currently, this setup is a manual process, but we are working on providing a step-by-step guide to configure these emails directly through the platform in the near future.
After completing Step 1, Tugi will provide you with the necessary DNS records to verify your domain ownership.
You can test the connection inside of Brand list > select your Brand > click on Verify DNS Settings
If everything is correct, it will turn to green with verified message.
In this step, we will provide you with a unique brand_id@tugi.ai email address.
Inside of your Email Hosting Service, you will need to create a forwarding rule so that all emails received on the "End User Support Email" from Step 1 are automatically forwarded to the aforementioned email.
If you have separate email addresses for different markets, such as:
- "support@yourwebsite.com for Canada and New Zealand
- tukea@yourwebsite.com for Finland
- サポート@yourwebsite.com for Japan
You can easily manage these within your Email Hosting Service by adding email aliases to your mailbox settings.
Note: An email alias is an additional email address associated with a user’s primary email account, functioning as a secondary identifier or "nickname" for the account. With email aliases, users can manage multiple email addresses within a single mailbox, ensuring that all communications directed to the alias are delivered to the primary account. This feature is especially useful for small to medium-sized organizations or enterprises with multiple domains, where an individual may manage several functions under different email addresses.
